Drone Roof & Exterior Documentation
See the condition. Keep a record of the work.
Document roof and exterior conditions before repairs, during the work, and after completion. Clear photographs of difficult-to-see areas give your contractor, property manager, or inspector a record to review when planning maintenance, discussing concerns, or explaining completed work.
We agree on the views your team needs and prepare photographs and video for property records, owner updates, contractor review, or insurance documentation. Technical findings and repair recommendations remain with your qualified inspector or contractor.

Show the detail.
Keep the context.
A closer photograph is more useful when the person reviewing it can also see where it belongs on the building. Pair it with a wider view to help an owner, contractor, or inspector follow the discussion and refer back to the same area later.
Before the shoot, tell us which roof or exterior areas your team needs to review and how the imagery will be used. We agree on the views and timing—before work, at a milestone, or after completion—and prepare a dated visual record for your reports and client conversations.

Coverage around your work
The views your team
needs to review.
Document the project.
Capture visible roof, façade, gutter, or solar-installation work before, during, or after the job, with views agreed in advance.
Share visible conditions.
Create dated photographs and contextual views to discuss a property with owners, contractors, or the professionals advising you.
Support your review.
Request specific aerial photographs or clips to support your own inspection process. Your team defines the required detail and evaluates the imagery.
What you receive
A visual record.
Organized for use.
- Edited aerial photographs of the agreed exterior areas.
- Wider context photographs identifying the building and viewpoint.
- Selected video clips or before-and-after comparisons when scoped.
- Dated image sets, with agreed labels and client-approved callouts.
Coverage depends on safe flight feasibility, access, obstructions, and the level of detail needed. We agree on the views and deliverables before the visit.
This is visible-light photography and video. Technical assessment, inspection conclusions, and repair recommendations remain with the qualified professional reviewing the property.
How it works
Define the views before the visit.
1. Tell us what needs to be seen.
Share the location, building type, areas of interest, and who will use the imagery.
2. Agree on practical coverage.
Coordinate access and site activity. We assess flight feasibility and discuss the views and detail that can reasonably be captured.
3. Capture the visible conditions.
Photograph or film the agreed areas, with wider views to preserve context. Repeat coverage can be scoped around the work.
4. Deliver for your review.
Receive the agreed edited files and labels for your project record, client discussion, or professional review.
Production experience
Clear communication.
From capture to delivery.
You work directly with Eric Smith, a cinematographer and drone operator whose background spans more than 35 years in film, television, and commercial production.
That experience helps turn a set of aerial views into an organized visual record. We plan what needs to be shown and prepare the imagery for the people who need to use it.

Practical questions
Before we get started.
Can you photograph specific areas of a roof or building exterior?
Yes, where they are visible and accessible to a safe flight. Share the areas of interest, reference photographs, or a marked plan so we can assess suitable angles and the level of detail required.
Can you document conditions before and after repairs or other work?
Yes. We can plan photographs or video before work begins and return after completion. Identifying the same areas in advance helps create useful visual comparisons.
Can our roofer, contractor, or inspector identify the views they need?
Yes. We welcome a shot list or marked reference images from the professional who will review the material. We confirm whether the requested views can be captured and agree on the deliverables before scheduling.
Do you need access inside the building or onto the roof?
Exterior aerial coverage can often be planned from a suitable ground-level operating area without interior or rooftop access. We still need permission for site access and a review of launch space, obstacles, and activity around the building.
Will the images identify damage, leaks, or the cause of a problem?
The imagery records visible conditions for your qualified professional to assess. It is not a diagnosis, a structural assessment, or a guarantee that a defect will be visible. If thermal imaging or technical inspection support is needed, we can discuss a separately scoped specialist approach.
Can you provide photographs for our contractor, insurer, or other professional to review?
Yes. Let us know who will review the images and any required views, dates, or file specifications. Their acceptance criteria and professional conclusions remain their responsibility; we agree on the photographic coverage we can provide.
